Wasatch Contras is a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to the preservation, study, teaching, enjoyment and continuing evolution of American traditional and historical dance, music and song. We sponsor the Third Saturday Dance in Salt Lake City featuring live music by local and out-of-town bands. Each evening begins with a brief beginner's workshop, and all dances are taught and cued by a caller. The main focus is on having fun. Dress is casual. Dancers' Responsibilities Child-Care Policies Venue The Garbett Center is at the intersection of 2nd West and Wall Street. From I-15 go east on 600 North, then turn left on 200 West. Park on 2nd West (east side only), Wall Street, or 7th North. Time Dances are scheduled from 7:30-10:30. A beginner's workshop is usually offered from 7:00-7:30. Prices Admission $8 (Ages 3 thru 24, $5) |
